With a 212hp motor and a top speed in excess of 300kph, the new Brutale 1000 Serie Oro means serious business.

MV Agusta has finally uncovered the much-awaited Brutale 1000 Serie Oro. The new motorcycle is an important product for the iconic Italian marquee, as it heralds a new chapter from the brand with the new 1,000cc powerplant. As expected from MV Agusta, the new Brutale 1000 Serie Oro looks stunning. While the new bike carries forward the silhouette of the original Brutale, the sharper tank with flared extensions, sleek tail section, split seat and the mass-forward profile gives it a distinct identity. It features an all-LED headlight with cornering lights and LED DRLs. Other goodies include a 5.0-inch colour TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, billet foot peg brackets and removable passenger seat.

Carbon fibre has been used extensively, including on the wheels, which have been treated with a special red paint that helps in reducing weight. Also, an anodised red copper wire can be seen in the carbon-fibre panel, which increases rigidity of the structure while also increasing the visual appeal. In addition, the bike features a lithium-ion battery and many CNC-machined components for weight reduction; the Brutale 1000 Serie Oro weighs just 184kg (kerb weight).

Powering the new Brutale 1000 is an all-new 1,000cc, in-line-four engine churning out 208hp and 115.5Nm of peak torque. If these figures didn’t whet your appetite, worry not. There’s a dedicated racing kit, with a SC-Project titanium exhaust system and dedicated ECU, that pushes the power output to 212hp, making it the most powerful production naked bike. MV Agusta claims that the new motor retains the radial valve positioning in the combustion chamber along with a central timing chain, a feature that is unique to the Italian brand. The motor employs titanium radial valves and CNC-machined combustion chamber. The crankshaft has been completely redesigned to reduce vibrations and it also gets a new airbox.

Electronic aids on the new Brutale 1000 Serie Oro includes a ride-by-wire system regulated by an IMU, eight-level traction control, power modes and anti-wheelie system. In addition, the new Brutale 1000 features a launch control system and a bi-directional quickshifter as standard.

The street bike sports clip-on handlebar and rear-set foot pegs for an aggressive riding stance, which the company claims is essential as the Brutale 1000 Serie Oro has a claimed top speed of over 300kph! There’s also a special spoiler beside the radiator that which the company claims adds downforce when going above 200kph. Given the performance on offer, MV Agusta has equipped the new Brutale with Brembo Stylema calipers that grip the 320mm diameter floating discs. The brand has maintained the “composite chassis structure” with steel trellis connected to aluminium side plates on its latest creation; it also features a single-sided swingarm. Suspension hardware consists of an electronically adjustable Öhlins fork at the front and a fully adjustable Öhlins TTX36 shock absorber at the back.

To maintain exclusivity, only 300 units of the MV Agusta Brutale 1000 Serie Oro will be built, and rest assured, they would be priced at a hefty premium.
