Diwali is just around the corner and as always, Bollywood is gearing up for the big celebrations. The first one off the block to kick-start the festival of lights is Shah Rukh Khan, who along with wife Gauri Khan, is planning a big party at their dream abode, Mannat. It’s happening on November 3.

Shah Rukh and Gauri seem to have carefully selected the date as the day before the big party is the Bollywood superstar’s birthday. He turns 53 this year. On November 2, SRK will also release the trailer of his much-awaited film Zero. It’s a romantic drama directed by Anand L. Rai.

This next one in the line is the grand ‘Casino Diwali’ celebration which will be hosted by Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra. It is set to take place on November 4, at their residence Kinara on Juhu Beach. “Please join us for Dinner, Drinks and Deals,” says the message sent out by the Kundras.

The ‘Casino Diwali’ party held by the Kundras is without doubt one of the most star-studded events of Bollywood this festive season. Everybody but everybody is expected to be there, and needless to say, there will be big card games in which a lot of hard cash will be rolled out. There will be the major attraction which will be the game of Poker, apparently, a big fascination for husband Raj Kundra.

The other big name throwing a Diwali party is Ekta Kapoor, who has always had the biggest and glitziest bashes in showbiz. She is planning to host hers on Tuesday, November 6. Ekta’s parties have constantly had a grand attendance because she makes sure that not just her A-list Bollywood friends but also the TV stars join in the celebrations.

On November 7, Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao will host their Diwali party. Last year it was at nephew Imran Khan’s bungalow on Pali Hill. However, they have decided to keep it simple this time. Aamir is probably looking to celebrate with the audiences as he has a Diwali treat for them this year – his next release Thugs of Hindostan!
