Rajkummar Rao has proven to be one of the finest actors in Bollywood and has carved a unique niche for himself with films like Shahid, Newton and Trapped, among others. Moreover, his recent release Stree, also starring Shraddha Kapoor, has not only met with rave reviews from the audience and critics alike but also went on to cross the 100 crore mark at the box-office. Now, in Bollywood, whenever actors have a huge hit, their success reflects in their pay packets. And it looks like it’s no different with the super-talented Rajkummar.
According to reports, the actor has hiked his fee after the huge success of the recently-released horror-comedy. Rajkummar has found special praise for his portrayal of a love-struck tailor in the film. So producers who would want to sign him for their projects would probably need to fork up a little more! And why not? With his kind of talent and temperament, Rajkummar deserves the raise!
Speaking about the actor, Stree producer Dinesh Vijan had previously said, “Raj is a versatile and highly credible actor. He has done a fabulous job in Stree. When he was working on that film, we narrated this concept to him and let’s just say he refused to let it go!” Now, the makers have already announced a sequel to the film and needless to say, Rajkummar will play a huge role in it.
Meanwhile, the actor has already started working on his next film Made in China. The film, also produced by Dinesh Vijan, co-stars Mouni Roy in the lead. Apart from that, he will also be seen in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga with Sonam Kapoor and Mental Hai Kya with Kangana Ranaut. Rajkummar is geared up to reunite with director Hansal Mehta as well in Turram Khan, a social comedy starring Nushrat Bharucha.
